Analysis of Performance

AoP This part of the course is worth 12% of your final mark. Your activity must be same as your PEP activity. The assessment is marked out of 20 and is split up into five sections. You will have to answer questions from all five sections.

5 sections 1 – Rules, Regulations and Terminology 2 – Observe and analyse performance 3 – Evaluate performance 4 – Plan strategies, tactics and practices 5 – Personal Exercise Programme

1. Rules, Regulations & Terminology Knowledge of competition rules are essential and you will be required to discuss these Terminology – words and phrases with meaning to that sport.

2. Observe and analyse performance During your practical lessons you can practice and improve your ability to observe and analyse a performance. Start by ‘saying what you see’ Task – analyse this performance… To gather information we need to OBSERVE from the best position

Observing - Breaking skills down Whilst observing a performance break down skills into smaller parts: Swimming – how can we break this down? Games/Skill – Phases? Racket – forced errors , unforced errors
