OEAA Accountability Update SLIP January 2010 Chris Janzer OEAA

EdYES/MI-SAAS Education Yes Subset (40) School Process Rubrics (90) District Process Rubrics (DPR) School Improvement Plan (SIP) MI-SAAS (Michigan School Accreditation and Accountability System) Report name changes for EdYES. Electronic version of the SIP required for Title I schools. MI-SAAS name change. Content still the same, waiting on legislature/state board approval.

AYP 1% exceptions expire after 09-10 Students Not Tested Can be resubmitted for 10-11 Students Not Tested AYP participation “appeals” Medical exemptions Reasons for AYP subjects will be reviewed before approval Annual Targets Increase for 2010-11 Medical exemptions need to have dates missed school, nature of illness, did school attempt to assess. All math and reading exemption request must be reviewed before being approved.

Michigan AYP Targets Targets for 4th, 7th, and 11th grades. Reading not ELA. Increases for next school year.

Sending Scores Back No policy in place yet Starting with 2010-11 SEE (Shared Educational Entity) identification School of Residence SEE’s ID’d through EEM. Formal agreement in place, school of residence, not only district of residence for students
