Installation Installation Types Local Unity Connection co-resident Voice Recognition Installed by default Defaults to 127.0.0.1 Updates to Name Grammar Database queried and GSL created locally Uses Cisco Unity Voice Recognition Transport (CuVrt) Remote Unity Connection is not co-resident Transferred to remote ASR Server

Configuration

Configuration System Administration Class of Service Modify an existing COS or add a new one with Voice Recognition services enabled Create a Template Generally a good idea Conversation setting Enable the user to use User Speech Recognition

Configuration Personal Communications Assistant Disable Voice Recognition input style User is in a VUI-enabled COS, but doesn’t want to use speech Edit their Alternate Names Add personal contacts Need to allow the user to edit transfer rules

Configuration Cisco Unity Voice Recognition Transport (CuVrt) Only service specific registry settings currently CompilationScriptFile The file to launch for compilation of the grammars. ConfigFile Currently unused. EventLevel 50 is maximum verbosity, in 10 (decimal) intervals (Default is 10) MediaServerRestartTime 24 Hour time to set to restart the Nuance Watcher Daemon (Default is 400, any number outside 24 hour range disables) Port Listen port for CuVrt transfers (Default is TCP 36286) UpdateInterval Interval to look for changes to the Name Grammar (Default is 10 minutes)
