Who is the Father of Genetics? Gregor Mendel

The passing of traits from parents to offspring is Heredity

Different forms of a trait that a gene may have (represented by a letter) Allele

The study of how traits are inherited Genetics

What has different alleles from each parent? (Tt) Hybrid (also called heterozygous)

The gene that dominates (shows up) upper case letter Dominant Gene (purple color)

A gene that may be covered by a dominant gene (lower case letter) Recessive (white flower)
