Today’s Objectives Be able to define the vocabulary words words. Be able to explain the differences between the deciduous and permanent dentitions. Label and know the functions of the parts of a tooth. Be able to answer the questions.

Digestion Mechanical - mastication (chewing) Chemical - enzymes Bolus - small, rounded mass of masticated food to be swallowed Deglutition – swallowing Chyme – soupy food mixture found in the stomach Peristalsis - muscular contractions that push food along the digestive tract
