Jefferson Review When was Jefferson elected President and why was it an important election? Name the style of government that Jefferson brought to the Presidency? Name the case which led to the Supreme Court having greater power? Name the Chief Justice in the famous case? What power was derived from the court nullifying a law? Name the area of land that Jefferson was able to purchase from France? Who did he send to explore the new region? Who helped these explorers on their journey? Name the Indian leader who wanted to unite all Indians into a confederation? Name the battle where American forces defeated the Indian confederation? Name the practice of kidnapping sailors on the high seas to work on another nation’s vessels? Name the group that wanted to go to war with Britain? What law did Jefferson pass to try and hurt the economies of England and France?
