Universal Religions: Attempt to appeal to a large population all over the world. (pop culture of religions) 58% of the world practices one of these (ex. Christianity, Islam, Buddhism) Ethnic Religions: Typically appeal to one group of people living in one place. (folk culture of religions) 26% of the world practices one of these (ex. Hinduism, Judaism, African Traditionalism)

The Whole purpose of religion is to facilitate love and compassion, patience, tolerance, humility, and forgiveness. -Dalai Lama After reading the Dalai Lama’s quote on religion, what are some things that you have Love and compassion for?
