Youth With Disabilities Providing Accommodations Using the Winning 4-H Plan

Youth with Disabilities 4-H welcomes and encourages youth with disabilities to participate Must make reasonable accommodations for youth with disabilities Winning 4-H Plan Request Form Youth submits to Extension professional At least 30 days prior to event Extension professional makes 4-H volunteer and/or fair personnel aware and discusses accommodations Winning 4-H Plan Accommodation Form You will receive this completed document from your 4-H professional

Youth with Disabilities Requests for accommodations considered on case-by-case basis Must consider whether or not making accommodation fundamentally alters the event Must consider whether or not making accommodation provides a significant advantage or disadvantage to anyone participating

Youth with Disabilities Accommodations are specific to individual Judges are expected to follow procedure for accommodations Judges may modify regular judging procedure to accommodate requests Judge needs to determine that modification would not inhibit ability of other exhibitors and/or animals in the show
