Two (2) for Free $4.00 additional Transcript Student can always order an unofficial transcript from Parchment Website for free and/or view transcript in ASPEN All BHS transcripts show the latest available ACT score (updated once a term)   NEW: now accepting self-reported transcript and ACT data

Campus visit procedure [soon-to-be-updated] on the College and Career Center Webpage (3 visits for Senior year) College Application Bootcamps Oct. 1 FAFSA application available (must complete to get financial aid – including HOPE & TN Promise www.fafsa.ed.gov Sept 25 – College Fairs –KCS daytime and HVA evening (permission slips available soon) Oct. 2 – ACT Senior Retake Oct. 5th – priority deadline for Nov 1 applications (UTK Scholarships, GA, GA Tech, UNC Chapel Hill, NC State, Nov. 1 TN Promise scholarship deadline

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS REVIEW YOUR TRANSCRIPT [updated >Sept 3rd] (request a free self-view from Parchment) If something is of concern, notify your school counselor NEW REQUIREMENTS (started ‘18) 1. CIVICS TEST- administered through Social Studies 2. ACT- you must take ACT/SAT to graduate!

LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION Counselor recommendations- most are submitted electronically; Common App, Universal, Coalition, College-Specific BHS Brag Sheet - help us help you Revised form coming soon in College & Career Center/online submit or e-mail to your counselor (at least 2 weeks before deadline!) parent section Teacher recommendations carefully select someone who can speak about your strengths as a student Complete a Teacher Self Evaluation form for each teacher you select (not a Brag Sheet)

TN Promise STUDENT DEADLINES Oct. 23, 2018 (8:45 am) BHS senior class meeting Nov. 1, 2018 - Deadline to Apply for Tennessee Promise scholarship at www.tnpromise.gov By February 1, 2019, file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on www.fafsa.gov. March 4, 2019 - BHS Mandatory Meeting 5:30 pm By SPRING Apply to community or technical college Complete & submit 8 hours community service by July 1, 2019

Tennessee HOPE Scholarship Award Amounts: 2 yr. college- Up to $1500 per semester 4 yr. College- Up to$1750 per semester *Award amount remains the same in the sophomore year. Award amount increases to $2,250 per sem. in the junior and senior years. Requirements: 3.0 unweighted final GPA or 21 ACT/980 SAT Graduate TN high school Complete FAFSA www.tn.gov/collegepays
