Piezoluminescence Analysis of mechanical stresses with method of the spectroscopy in tester of ruby subjected to irradiating with bundle of heavy ions of the radiation in the function of the dose absorbed and in the function of the depth. Changes in the luminescent radiation triggered with mechanical stresses. It manifesting through the appearance in the spectra of additional lines or strips. These stresses influence to existing spectral lines which can cause shift them.

Mechanical stresses in ruby under swift heavy ion irradiation Regarding ruby, the piezospectroscopic effect consists in a stress-induced line shift of the Raman and R-line luminescence. The latter data, as well as bandwidths and intensities were determined by fitting spectra to double pseudo-Voigtian profiles by the least-squares method. The frequencies of the R-lines were estimated with an accuracy of 1.0 cm An example of the R-line luminescence spectra in ruby detected under Bi ion bombardment at room temperature is given in Fig. 2 for several ion fluences. Fig. 2. R1 and R2 lines as a function of fluence of 710 MeV Bi ions in ruby. T = 300 K. Dashed lines mark the R2-line positions for minimal and maximal ion fluences.

Irradiation with accelerated heavy ions Time Of Flight 670 MeV Cyclotron Measuring the profile of the bundle Bombed sample

Model spectrum at the temperature of 77,35 degrees (Kelvin). max R2 peak As you can see maxsimum of the R2 peak is about 14460,19 cm-1 , which is correct with results shown for the temperature’s model spectrum. The graph describing the change of the amplitude and shift spectral lines triggered with rise of heavy ion’s dose .

R2 peak Model spectrum in the room temperature R2 peak is about 14442,943 cm-1 , which is correct with results shown for the temperature’s model spectrum. The graph describing the change of the amplitude depending on depth

This graph is presenting a dependence of the tension on an accepted dose of radiation.
