My favorite thing about first grade is… there’s this thing called “Art docent.” It’s when a parent comes in and we do art. And we do writing. We have a thing called a writing folder. That’s how we organize our writing. We write about what you did that week. And we get to keep a shirt. And we only get to wear it on special days. We also do field trips.
