Do now: Take out April Vacation homework and any missing work and leave on desk. Write down your answers in your notebook.

So that I can: answer real world problems from multiple standards. I will be able to: Make sense and persevere in solving real world and mathematical problems. Apply previous knowledge from earlier mathematical standards. So that I can: answer real world problems from multiple standards. I will show that I understood it by successfully completing at least 4 out of the 5 stations correctly with my group with at least 80% accuracy. 6.MP.1

Language Objective By the end of the lesson, students will be able to use the language domains of reading and writing to communicate the academic math language of solving real world connected math problems. Students will verbally communicate and evaluate/solve these problems by persevering to solve at least 80% of the problems from 4 out of 5 stations to show their understanding. Academic Math language Vocabulary: Expressions, equations, variables, data points, statistics, graphical representation of data.

Students will work in groups to complete stations. (40 minutes) Check in (15 minutes)

How do you feel? topic.

I need to get a good night’s sleep Homework: Get a good night’s sleep and bring a silent reading book for tomorrow

Accommodations Read or reread presentation or activity directions, as needed or after prompting Use examples to model and act as a guide for emerging learners
