Conclusions Erik Schylander, Philips
March 2002 Conclusions To continue as an Ad-hoc group, a.i. chaired by Erik Schylander Concern about diverging standards and not converging as requested. (many overlapping standards under development, and more to come?) The BRAN chair was asked to inform / remind the 802.11 and .15 chairs about our concerns and readdress the formation of a joint project (WING) The need to study the 802.15.3 standard under development, and consider issues for possible co-operation for next ad-hoc meeting. New (IEEE) architecture New PHY (UWB?) Universal MAC ? No need to submit a new requirements document to WNG That all (11) channels in the upper band should be implemented for interoperability reasons, but this is not a BRAN issue Erik Schylander, Philips
