What material would make a good lining for a dog basket? Year One Science

First we looked at examples of dog baskets and talked about what a dog basket is for. Then we discussed the properties of materials that would fit the purpose: soft, bendy or flexible, warm, strong. Next, we tested different materials and sorted them into ‘yes’ and ‘no’ groups. Finally we thought of the properties that our chosen materials had that made them appropriate and the properties that meant some materials would not be appropriate.
