“TOGETHER WE ARE BETTER” GRANDVILLE P2P “TOGETHER WE ARE BETTER”

Background of Grandville P2P This is our 7th year of P2P in Grandville P2P exists in 8 out of the 9 schools in Grandville We have approximately 350 students involved within the district We established a committee of P2P Advisors dedicated to organizing and running the programs throughout the district We have hosted 2 district-wide events Bowling @ Fairlanes Family Night

P2P Committee The district’s commitment to P2P has resulted in development of a P2P Committee Consists of P2P Advisors (1-2 in each building) who are responsible for facilitating the P2P activities in their building Advisor position is a paid position 2 P2P Coordinators (1 paid position split by 2 staff members) who are responsible for overseeing the entire P2P Program in the district Committee meets 1 time every 6 weeks Divided into subcommittees this year (fundraising, events, t-shirts, curriculum, etc.)

P2P Family Night District-wide event for all P2P participants and their families to celebrate the P2P Program Held from 6:00-7:30 PM on a weekday evening at one of our elementary schools Offer a variety of activities HS and MS mentors volunteer in various capacities (i.e. set-up crew, clean-up crew, face painters, helping to run activities, acting as a facilitator for socialization, etc.) Ask district staff to sign-up and help run/monitor activities
