“In Need of Faith” Mark 9:14-29

Faith Building Miracles Mark 4:39-41

Mark 4:39,40 And being aroused, He rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Hush, be still.” And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm. 40 And He said to them, “Why are you so timid? How is it that you have no faith?”

Mark 4:41 And they became very much afraid and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”

Faith Building Miracles Mark 4:39-41 Mark 6:41-44; 49-52

Mark 6:41 And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up toward heaven, He blessed {the food} and broke the loaves and He kept giving {them} to the disciples to set before them; and He divided up the two fish among them all.

Mark 6:42-44 And they all ate and were satisfied. 43 And they picked up twelve full baskets of the broken pieces, and also of the fish. 44 And there were five thousand men who ate the loaves.

Faith Building Miracles Mark 4:39-41 Mark 6:41-44; 49-52 Mark 8:16-21

Mark 8:16,17 And they {began} to discuss with one another {the fact} that they had no bread. 17 And Jesus, aware of this, said to them, “Why do you discuss {the fact} that you have no bread? Do you not yet see or understand? Do you have a hardened heart?

Mark 8:18,19 “HAVING EYES, DO YOU NOT SEE? AND HAVING EARS, DO YOU NOT HEAR? And do you not remember, 19 when I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces you picked up?” They said to Him, “Twelve.”

Mark 8:20,21 “And when {I broke} the seven for the four thousand, how many large baskets full of broken pieces did you pick up?” And they said to Him, “Seven.” 21 And He was saying to them, “Do you not yet understand?”

Mark 9:20 And they brought the boy to Him. And when he saw Him, immediately the spirit threw him into a convulsion, and falling to the ground, he {began} rolling about and foaming {at the mouth.}

Mark 9:22 “And it has often thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, take pity on us and help us!”

Luke 9:39 and behold, a spirit seizes him, and he suddenly screams, and it throws him into a convulsion with foaming {at the mouth,} and as it mauls him, it scarcely leaves him.

Mark 9:19 And He answered them and said, “O unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him to Me!”

Mark 9:19 And He answered them and said, “O unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him to Me!”
