Health Care Updates – Federal There have been multiple attacks to repeal the ACA but none have been successful Nothing about your health care has changed Kids coverage through CHIP is at risk The Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) provides affordable, pediatric-appropriate health coverage to nearly 9 million children nationwide, including 2 million children and pregnant women in California. Yet despite broad bipartisan support, Congress neglected to take action to extend CHIP funding before it expired on September 30th. Progress toward passing CHIP funding has stalled because there is not yet a bipartisan agreement on how to pay for CHIP funding. California is currently spending down the last of its remaining CHIP allocation, which is projected to run out in December.

Health Care Updates – California Health4All Kids – Medi-Cal is available to ALL low-income children, regardless of immigration status. Eligible children will receive full-scope benefits & dental coverage. Medi-Cal – You can enroll any time of the year. Covered California – Federal subsidies and financial assistance protected by law.
