Separation – best thing ever… RIGHT? FREEDOM! Fact or Myth? -Same as a PCS move. -The Navy teaches us to ask for help. -We are expert communicators. -My shipmates always have the right answers.

PROS VS. CONS -What are we used to having that isn’t there in/at most civilian jobs/lifestyles? -What are we looking forward to after our transition?

STRESS INDICATORS -Fatigue/headaches -Irregular sleeping habits -Stomach problems/frequent illness -Increased smoking/drinking -Nervousness/irritability -Isolation -Change in eating habits

COPING TECHNIQUES -Get going -Sell yourself (and there is LOTS to sell!) -WORK at it -Lighten up (insert light emoji here!) -Keep family involved -Volunteer (networking is key!) -Be proactive before signs of stress appear
