Job Performance Requirement 10-16 Advancing a Flat Load from a Supply Bed

A Attach the nozzle or appliance and determine the amount of hose needed to be placed on the shoulder. JPR 10-16A

B If possible, separate these folds from the bed by twisting them on their sides. Place these folds over your shoulder with the nozzle in front of you. JPR 10-16B

C If twisting the folds is not possible (possibly due to the amount of hose in the bed), pull a section of hose off and place it over your shoulder, with the nozzle in front of you. Pull additional sections off and place them on top of the previous section on your shoulder. JPR 10-16C

D When the desired amount of hose is out of the bed and on your shoulder, step away from the bed and again pull some extra folds to place on the ground. The hose should now deploy as an accordion load. JPR 10-16D
