IEEE Mentoring Program IEEE Mentoring services are available as a benefit to IEEE Members. Participating in mentoring can be beneficial in many different ways. Mentoring services can help: Expose you to new talent Brings ongoing attention to your career development Build your professional network Enhance your coaching, leadership, and management skills Expose you to a diverse group of individuals offering different viewpoints. You can be both a mentor AND a mentee simultaneously. Start an unlimited amount of mentoring partnerships.

How to Sign up as a Mentor To volunteer as an IEEE Mentor to other IEEE Members and Society Affiliates, create your free IEEE Account in IEEE Collabratec if you do not already have one. Once you have signed up and set up your profile, the next step is to activate your mentor preferences. To activate your mentor preferences: Sign in to IEEE Collabratec. Select “Opportunities” from the main navigation menu. Select the “Settings” tab and complete the “My Mentor Preferences” section. How to Become a Mentor/Mentee Manual

How to Sign up as a Mentee To be mentored by other IEEE Members and Society Affiliates, create your free IEEE Account in IEEE Collabratec if you do not already have one. To search for potential IEEE Mentors in IEEE Collabratec: Select “People” from the main navigation menu. Select the “IEEE Mentors” filter under Relationships. You may further narrow your search results by selecting additional filter options. Once you have found a potential mentor, select the “+Connect” button and “Request Mentor” to initiate the request.
