Develop Right Skills Develop leaders based on best skill sets Set them up for success by determining what other skills they may need Look inside for your “Dottie Kamenshek” and develop them. Instill an empowered, continuous learning culture to maintain a motivated performance-oriented workforce.

Develop the Right Plan Set a clear direction & Set Rules Your culture produces your results Your level of accountability determines the pace and effectiveness of performance improvement Rules set expectations for all (Council Rules) Put systems and processes in place to identify, develop and build bench strength

Get out of the Way & Let your Team Play Trust in the Talent & Skills of management and players Give them the space to adjust themselves. Excessive oversight hinders talent and causes individuals to question their own talent/skill. Encourage your team

5 Secrets for Leaders Be Authentic Be Consistent – this is King Dress for the Job you Want Lead by Example Recognize Every Employees Efforts

Decision Making Every decision involves some risk Time does not always improve a situation Fundamental errors are inescapable when the unqualified are allowed to exercise judgment Decisions are best made by leaders near the front lines of action and not by leaders who distance themselves from the work and thus have a diminished perspective. A leader is never really in charge if he stays in the rear. The ability to make a difficult decision separates leaders from followers.

Goals Superficial goals lead to superficial results You will accomplish more if the leader behaves as though the organizational goals are as important as personal goals Success depends on a clear understanding of what your superior wants A goal should always be worthy of the efforts necessary to achieve it A leader without purpose will never know when he/she has achieved it Always aim high. Taking the safe path leads to mediocrity

Leadership Quotes A leader’s greatness is measured by the sacrifices he/she is willing tomake for the good of the organization. A good leader rises above pettiness and encourages his subordinates to do likewise. A leader can’t win if he loses his nerve. Be self-confident and hold your head up even in defeat. A wise leader adapts but does not compromise Strong leaders surround themselves with strong subordinates You can achieve anything for which you are willing to pay the price. Competition thins out the at the top. Never take yourself too seriously.
