A Bridge to a Brighter Future An earthquake tore through Juan’s community putting his house at risk of collapse. The Foundation assisted with home repair costs to ensure Juan and his family had a safe living environment. After waiting for several months, Ann was scheduled to receive a liver transplant. To afford the procedure, she and her family sold assets and borrowed money, but were unable to come up with the full amount. The Foundation provided the additional dollars to cover the remaining cost of the procedure. After falling three stories, David learned he was paralyzed. Unable to care for himself, David needed to fly home to his family to begin treatment. The Foundation covered the costs of a special medical flight to bring David home, and provided funds for special-needs equipment. Collin was struggling to make his monthly financial obligations after his wife lost her job. The Foundation paid for several months of rent and utilities while Collin’s wife found new employment.
