Judgment seat of Christ

(2Co 5:9-11) Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. Preparing Our lives For that coming Judgment

(Php 2:21) For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.

Using the natural selfishness

The concept of the Bema Seat comes from the ancient Olympics, where a judge would sit on the Bema Seat at the finish line. The judge's purpose was to determine what position the runners came in-first, second, and so on-and then to give out the appropriate rewards. That is the imagery that Paul id drawing from known as the Bema Seat or Judgment seat of Christ

The misconception that we will be Judged for our Sin

(Psa 103:12) As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

(Rom 6:23) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

(Tit 3:5-7) Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

(Tit 3:8) This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
