Live Auction GM Second Graders will be donating two canvas pictures which include our feet and a cute verse for the silent auction. CONFERENCES: Please remember to go online to sign up for conferences or call Tonya Klapperick in the elementary office at 754-5310. BOOK FAIR: A book fair will be held during the conference times on Nov. 16 $ 20 in the school media center or library. GINGERBREAD HOUSES: It has been a tradition for over 25 years at Grand Meadow Schools that the second graders construct gingerbread houses. Please see the gingerbread sheets for more information. Each second grader is asked to arrange one adult to help them build their gingerbread house. We will build these houses on Friday, Dec. 1. The gingerbread houses will stay at school that weekend and parents may take them home the night of the Christmas concert. TENNIS SHOES: If students are wearing boots to school in the morning, don’t forget to bring a pair of shoes for gym class. PARTY MONEY: Please send in $8 to help pay for 3 class parties throughout the school year (Halloween, Christmas, and Valentines’)…$2 for each party, and $2 for the auction item and carnival baskets we make. It is always something wonderful. WINTER CLOTHING IS NEEDED: When snow is on the ground, students are asked to wear snow pants and boots for recess. Even if there is not snow on the ground, snow pants and boots are nice for warmth. Don’t forget the warm jacket, hat, gloves, and possibly a scarf to keep the cold air from going down our jackets. If second graders would like to keep a pair of boots and snow pants at home and another pair at school… they may.
