What is the regulation? CR 100.4 (c) 1 ¾ unit Career & Technical Education for all students prior to the end of grade 8 CTE Content Areas Agriculture Business & Marketing Family & Consumer Sciences Health Sciences Technology Trade & Technical

Who can provide instruction? Teachers certified under any title in the six CTE content areas: Technology Classroom titles Agriculture, Business, FACS CTE titles Trade & Technical, Health Science The differences between Classroom and CTE titles: Preparation Classroom; Academic CTE; Academic and Work World Grade Levels Classroom; PK-12 CTE ; 7-12 Content Classroom; General CTE; Focused http://eservices.nysed.gov/teach/certhelp/CertRequirementHelp.do

How can schools schedule instruction? Previous Regulation 1 unit Technology Education; ¾ unit FACS Update instruction to include new Themes and Content Modules Current CTE Regulation 1 ¾ unit intermediate level CTE Utilize new Middle-level CTE curricular guidance Intermediate CTE and Acceleration in Foundational HS CTE ¾ unit Middle-level CTE including instruction in the Themes 1 unit Careers and Financial Management HS CTE in grade 8 Intermediate CTE and Acceleration in Focused HS CTE ¾ unit Middle-level CTE including instruction in the Themes I unit content-rich, field-specific HS CTE in grade 8 (ex. DDP)
