Thank you for not chewing gum or anything else  Materials: Pencil Notebook Packet Agenda: Agenda Bell work Video January 13 Daily Objective: Today we will analyze data that supports continental movement over time. Daily Question: What evidence do you have that supports continental drift?

Directions: Plate Tectonics Alfred Wegener Song Alfred Wegener: the man who hypothesized in1912 that the continents are slowly drifting around the Earth. His hypothesis was not widely accepted until the 1950s, when many discoveries provided strong support for continental drift, leading to today’s theory of plate tectonics. Directions: Read the article – Alfred Wegner Fill out worksheet 41.1: Analyzing Evidence: Continental Drift Check off if it is evidence Check off it if supports the idea that the continents have moved Fill out 41.2 – Writing Frame Fill out 42.1 – Plate Tectonics Video Alfred Wegener Song Continents in the future

Bill Nye Volcanoes Due TODAY! Power Paragraph - Volcanoes 4 In addition to a 3, your examples are real places and you explain the significance of these places and why these volcanoes might effect humans. 3 Your topic sentence says what a volcano is Your yellow(reason, detail, fact) sentences explain each TYPE of volcano ( shield, composite, cinder cone) Your pink (explanation/example) sentences explain each type of volcano further and give an example of a real volcano You formally conclude what you know about volcanoes Don’t forget transitions. 2 Some of the above information is missing/incomplete/incorrect 1 Most of the above information is missing/incomplete/incorrect
