The week of: March 12th-16th, 2017 Fabulous Fourth Grade Weekly Newsletter The week of: March 12th-16th, 2017 Math Writing In math this week, Ms. Shade’s precious petunias learned how to: Recognize and make use of part–whole relationships within tape diagrams when solving a variety of problem types. Different strategies to solve multi-digit addition problems Write word problems of varied types. Grow our fluency in basic addition and subtraction problems. We love writing!!! This week, students in room 145 learned: How to publish our opinion writing How to edit/revise our writing Different ways to add “sparkly words” Strategies of how to spell tricky words How to grab our reader with a strong hook! Reading Important Info Phonics: The “Sassy C”: Words like science, face, lace, decide, etc.) How to “wonder” in various books All students have been F&P tested and have their new reading levels!
