Modified Massage Benefits Pregnant Women Client with breathing difficulties Acute Back Pain Recent Abdominal Surgery Anyone who has problems lying Supine Anyone who has problems lying Prone Wheel Chair Clients

Modified Massage Preformed in Side Lying Position Client may need stool to reach a high table. Assist them up to the table. Client will lay on their side with a pillow between their knees and head. The goal is to keep the spine straight, a folded towel under the waist helps. Check the distance between the table and their waist with your hand.

Contraindications for Pregnant Women Unsafe scents: oregano, common sage, savory, mugwort, clove, basil, thyme, wintergreen, hyssop, myrrh, cinnamon, juniper, and aniseed. Avoid the uterus and reflex points on the ankles. Avoid pressure points within two inches of the spine, and the bladder meridian points.
