What is Poll Everywhere? Audience Response System Live Interactive Polling Utilize UTMB Single Sign On Open to all UTMB Faculty, Staff & Students Web Delivery & PowerPoint Embedding Reporting and Results Capture
How does it work? Presenter prepares the poll(s). Presenter activates the poll (Web or PowerPoint). Students use their own device to respond. Responses are shown in real-time. The poll is closed. Responses are ready for reporting.

PowerPoint/Keynote Integration Download the PowerPoint plugin Install the plugin Open PowerPoint Find the “Poll Everywhere” Tab. Click the “Login” Icon Enter Email and click “Single Sign On” Enter UTMB credentials “New” - create a new poll for embedding “Insert” – Embed an existing poll

Collecting Responses Option 1: Web Responses (Recommended) Participants visit www.pollev.com/<<PollEvUsername>> to see the active poll. All poll types available Participant must login if registration is required for response
Collecting Responses (Cont.) Option 2: Poll Everywhere Mobile App (Recommended) Participants enter the username of the presenter All poll types available Participant must login if registration is required for response (iOS/Android)
Collecting Responses (Cont.) Option 3: SMS/Text Message Participants send your username to a 6-digit number with their answer (A, B, C, etc) Only Multiple Choice and Open Ended polls Participant must have certified their phone number if registration is required to respond

Known Issues (Cont.) User is seeing someone else’s polls UTMB SSO retains logins for 12 hours. Flush the browser cache (forget history) and try again. PowerPoint Requires Login (For editing) Users should login via PPT prior to presenting. PowerPoint Plugin Missing Plugin needs to be installed (per user). Follow the instructions on your Polls page, left hand side.
