What we learned in Reading Workshop

Readers choose books they are interested in I love reading books about castles!!! Readers choose books they are interested in

We also put away our books with the spines facing out. Readers take good care of books by putting their reading gloves on and carefully turning the pages in their books on the bottom corners of each page. We also put away our books with the spines facing out.

Readers have alone time with their book by sitting back to back

I think this book might be about a monster?... Readers look at the cover of their book in order to get their brain ready to read.

I think the boy is pretending to be a king . . . Readers take picture walks by looking at the pictures on each page. The picture clues help us figure out what is happening in the story.

Readers have partner time with their book by sitting side by side
