Are you : Outgoing Friendly A good conversationalist Good with new people Positive in most situations Good with handling mood swings Passionate about helping others A good decision maker Determined Good at taking control Thoughtful Attentive Informative Do you: Have a calming attitude Have a good sense of humor Have a calming voice If you answered yes to most/all of these questions, then you should consider being a midwife!
How does it pay? A registered midwife, depending on their area of residence, can make anywhere from $45 000 - $90 000 yearly.
How much schooling is required? Approximately 4 years (full-time) or 5-6 (part-time) to get a Bachelors Degree then depending on if you want to specialize in a field, it could take another 2 years for a Post-Baccalaureate.

The program consists preparation and informative lessons on the field. Prerequisites: BIOL 153 – Human Biology ENGL 112 – Strategies for University Writing
Available Schooling Options #2: Ryerson University – Toronto, Ontario Midwifery Education Program A 4-year program for full-time students, 5-6 for part-time, with a 2-year Post-Baccalaureate Program leading to a Bachelor degree in Health Sciences. It is a program designed to teach students how to properly and safely deliver children and provide care for mothers and their newborns.
