explanations something that explains; a statement made to clarify something and make it understandable to give a reason that clarifies situations

inference an inference is made based on known facts, in an effort to explain them. why something happened based on observations

verified observation an objective statement of which has been tested and supported by observable and/or measurable evidence/facts (data)

personal opinion/ interpretation a subjective statement of a thought that may be based on logic and reason but is not necessarily based on testable evidence/facts

science Systematic knowledge of the physical or material world gained through observation and experimentation.

science notebook A book used to keep track of data, research, observations, and inferences from scientific explorations.

scientist an expert in science, especially one of the physical or natural sciences.
