Bearing Fruit for the Lord John 15:1-8

Important Concepts John 15:1-8 Jesus is the true vine The Father is the vinedresser He wants fruit! Pruning/Cleansing is necessary! (Hebrews 12:11; Romans 6:21-22; James 1:21-22) Bearing fruit requires connection to the vine! Disciples of Christ glorify God by bearing a lot of fruit. We can bear fruit by sharing the gospel and by sharing our resources with those in need.

The Fruit of Winning Souls The wise win souls! (Proverbs 11:30) Paul lived to bear such fruit (Philippians 1:22) When we spread the gospel, it will bear fruit (Colossians 1:5-6)

The Fruit of Good Works We bear fruit by meeting urgent needs (Titus 3:14; 2 Corinthians 9:10-11; Romans 15:26-28; We bear fruit when we supply the needs of evangelists (Phil. 4:16-17)

“…walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God” (Colossians 1:10)
