A Preference Ballot is a ballot in which the voters are asked to rank the candidates in order of preference. This is not the most typical style of voting. (textbook 1.1) A Linear Ballot is a ballot in which ties are not allowed. This is the preferred type of voting. (txt 1.1) A Preference Schedule is a way to organize the ballots by grouping together identical ballots. Usually placed in a table format.
