Promotion Criteria to Sec 3 3.1 Secondary 2 Express to 3 Express Criterion: Pass in English and an overall percentage pass in the average of all subjects. Failure to do so, student will be laterally transferred to Sec 3 Normal (A) in 2018. There is no retention at Secondary 2 Express.

Promotion Criteria to Sec 3 3.2 Secondary 2 Normal (A) to 3 Normal (A) Criterion: Pass in English and TWO other subjects OR Pass in FOUR subjects Failure to do so, student will be retained at Sec 2 Normal (A) in 2018.   3.3 Secondary 2 Normal (A) to 3 Express Criterion: Pass in English and 70% and above in SA 2 and overall results.

Qualifying criteria for Subjects A. Math Overall 70% and above for Sec 2 Math Computing Literature Overall 65% and above for Sec 2 English, and Overall 70% and above for Sec 2 Literature. Pure Science Overall 70% and above for Sec 1 and 2 Science
