Chile is a very long skinny country Chile is a very long skinny country . It has the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other. In some cities you can go to both the beach and the mountains just by travelling from one side to the other.

There is an amazing city in Chile called Valparaiso where the houses are very brightly coloured.

Because the city is on a steep hill, there are lots of stairs and some boxes like lifts that go up and down rails like trams but they call them escalators.
