Non-Federal Partner Roles DOTD is responsible for the project LERRDs and taking the lead on LA 964, LA 19 and LA 67 bridge design and construction. ARBC is contributing funding towards the completion of the project. EBR is responsible for operations and maintenance of the functionally complete project.

US Highway 61 Utilities West-side Relocations: 3 of 5 pipelines 2 transmission lines 2 communication fibers East-side Relocations: 3 of 4 pipelines 1 distribution line 5 communication fibers All Utility Relocations currently under design American Midstream Relocation Construction begins November 2018

Comite River Diversion Tentative Delivery Plan for the Project CONTRACT ID DESCRIPTION COM-01 KCS RR Bridge, Hwy 61 Bridge, Barnett Road Bypass, and approx 1-mile of the diversion channel from Lilly Bayou to 1500-ft upstream COM-02 Brooks Lake Closure COM-03 Channel Segment #1 (approx 1.33 miles between Hwy 61 and Bayou BR) COM-04 Bayou Baton Rouge Drop Structure, Carney Road Bypass, 1.5 cfs pumping stations and a small portion of the diversion channel up to Hwy 964 COM-05 Channel Segment #2 (approx 1.5 miles between Hwy 964 and Cypress Bayou) COM-06 Cypress Bayou Drop Structure, 1.5 cfs pumping stations and a small portion of the diversion channel up to Geaux Geaux RR COM-07 Channel Segment #3 (approx 1.0 miles between Hwy 19 and McHugh Rd) COM-08 McHugh Road Bridge and the portion of the diversion channel under the bridge. COM-09 Channel Segment #4 (approx 1.5 miles between McHugh Rd and Hwy 67) COM-10 White Bayou drop structure, 1.5 cfs pumping station. COM-11 Comite River Diversion Structure, Inflow Channel, and diversion channel up to Hwy 67 COM-12 Clearing and snagging of the three bayous.
