COPALS - Colorado Postsecondary Advising and Learning at Scale 2007-2010 College readiness initiative to prepare and support adult education students transitioning into community college programs and career pathways 2010-2012 Initiative to align community college and workforce systems and develop strategies to guide academically underprepared adults and workforce clients into certificate and associate’s degree programs and career pathways COPALS - Colorado Postsecondary Advising and Learning at Scale 2013-2015 Seamless education initiative to support CCCS associate’s degree students transferring into career-focused baccalaureate programs at CSU-Global

Career and College Navigators build program awareness with administration, faculty, staff, and the community; develop and implement student outreach/recruitment strategies; provide intensive, 1:1 educational case management and student success support (affective challenges); Facilitate enrollment, registration, academic advising, financial aid processes, etc. (logistic/systemic challenges) guide students through the individual career and academic planning (ICAP) process. Navigators at each college are working hard to roll out this project… Primary responsibilities are to

Next Step Expand ICAP for postsecondary students ICAP work group forming to refine the APS ICAP definition; identify postsecondary student constituencies in Colorado; refine quality indicators and standards; expand the study of research-based evidence of APS ICAP need and benefit; align APS ICAP with secondary ICAP; develop additional tools and resources; learn about existing APS ICAP practices taking place at higher education institutions in and outside of Colorado; determine additional ways to implement and sustain APS ICAP; and determine appropriate methods to disseminate APS ICAP information.
