Regional Vanpool Program

What is a Vanpool Vanpools are an element of the transit system that allow groups of people to share the ride similar to a carpool, but on a larger scale with concurrent savings in fuel and vehicle operating costs. Vanpools have a lower operating and capital cost than most transit vehicles in the United States, but due to their relatively low capacity. Insurance is included in fare. Maintenance is included in fare. Tax free fuel. No paid employees – all drivers volunteer. Group sets the times and the routes. Generally direct service to work. Guaranteed Emergency Ride Home Program.

 Public-private coalition that coordinates the Air Alert Day program; and educates business and residential citizens about air pollution, the use of alternative transportation modes and making environmentally sound choices.

School Pool Ridesharing for Schools Ridematching program tailored specifically for assisting parents that transport their own children to school. Carpool references are quickly generated via a user friendly web interface. Great for one school or a whole school district.
