What do these pictures have in common?

They are all about flatsharing

Your project The chance of a lifetime! You are going to study 8 months in central London. You have already found a flat that you want to share with your best friend. But you need to find another flatmate. So, you are going to interview two potential flatmates. You must prepare the questions that you want to ask and once your choice is made up, you must justify it.

And to do that… First, you’re going to introduce yourself (identity, routine and personality). Then, you are going to interview a potential flatmate. Next, you are going to read ads (=petites annonces) to find your future flat. Last, you are going to establish rules between your future flatmates before flatsharing.

Any questions???

Your turn now!!!

Look at the document and say everything you can

Listening comprehension

Now, you are going to listen to a recording about flatsharing Now, you are going to listen to a recording about flatsharing. But before, what do you expect to find in this recording?

Flatmates – conversation – information about the flat/rooms/flatmates – rent (=price of the room) etc. This document is about an appointment between two potential flatmates

Listen once again to the recording and answer the questions.

Alice - Edward – Amanda At the potential flatmates’ flat in Great Britain Alice Australian Karl German Edward English Eileen Irish Amanda English Marcello Italian

6 bedrooms (5 upstairs and one donwstairs) – a living-room – a kitchen – two bathrooms. The room to rent is furnished. The bed and mattress are new. There is a bow window. 300 pounds (250 pounds per months plus 50 pounds for electricity and water). Marcello 5 a.m. every day. Rarelly / Not often. Rarelly / Not often. Eileen / usually between 4 and 5 a.m. I think thay won’t choose Alice because she plays the electric guitar and she often practises Marcello, who always gets up very early, won’t accept a too noisy person.

HOMEWORK: Learn your lesson and be ready to make a short oral presentation of the recording at the beginning of the class.
