Section 1 – Research Methods You will be given a scenario and asked a series of questions adding up to 20 marks. Make sure you are studying your glossary and know all your terminology. Variables (IV DV, extraneous) and hypothesis. Ethical guidelines – (6 headings) Methodology – experimental and non experimental, design. etc

Section 2 - Individual Behaviour Sleep, dreams and sleeping disorders The exam could ask you any question on this topic worth and range of marks (1-20) so be prepared for anything. Use SCHOLAR to help you add and organise your notes from class.

Section 2 - Individual Behaviour Memory This is the optional topic so any question on this is likely to be vaguer than on sleep. The SQA has stated that: How 3 approaches explain 1 topic (Cognitive, Biological and Psychoanalytic) 2 Theories – Multi-store model and working memory model or 2 theories of forgetting, eg Cue-dependent and Interference. 2 Research studies – aims, methods, procedures, results, conclusion and evaluations.
