Using Think, Pair Share in a movement situation to improve students ability to remember movement composition terminology
Intention: Students to explore the composition element of space and understand common dance literacy. Dance Genre: Jazz Equipment: Students will require a tablet for this lesson Introduction: Different body shapes is one way a dancer can use space in a routine. Warm-up: Learn a short pre-choreographed jazz routine to song Black Magic
Think Students had to use the stimulus cards for each term to think of a shape that suits the definition.
Pair Students pair up and photograph their shapes. Look at them for feedback. Students should have a diary of eight shapes photographed.
