Warm-Up: Turtles At the end of Ch. 45, Pi refers to a sea turtle as “what would become a dear, reliable friend of mine” and asks it to carry a message for him. By Ch. 66, they are “an easy catch indeed” and in 77 he describes the different ways he eats them. What does this change tell us about Pi? What has caused this change?
