Middle School Me & Presentation Work Day Mr. Short English 12: College Now 27 March 2018

Today’s Agenda: Handshaking Middle School Me Presentations Work

Hand Shaking: I shook over 200 hands this week. Turn to your neighbor. Shake their hand. Evaluate your neighbor’s handshake. Was it: weak, limp, firm, painful, sweaty? Quick tips to a good handshake: Be firm, or match the grip of their hand. “Shake” 2-3 times. Hold about 2-5 seconds. Keep palms perpendicular to the floor. Eye Contact is a must. Be sure you are standing.

Hand Shaking: Do you plan to be a person? You will have to shake someone’s hand.

RJ3 Collection: If you did not submit your journal yesterday, do it today.

“Middle School Me” Presentations: Content: Describe who you were. Hobbies, favorite entertainment, food, etc. Discuss your looks. Tell a story about the picture. Tips: Have good posture. Speak clearly. Practice eye contact.

Poster Necessities: Your poster must have: Presentation title Details: Not just subject & topic Thesis Statement Presentation Outline Works Cited 2-4 visuals Included in works cited in addition to other sources used. Details: Everything must have a professional appearance. Use glue to affix items Use staples only to attach your outline to itself. No visible tape.
