Kitten-resize Magic wand
Use magic wand Select background White area Select>Inverse
Move Move to car-original New layer, name it kitten:
Background issue One way: Right click on Background layer Choose Layer from Background Name it car Or just double-click and provide a name
Select car Quick Select Be sure are on Car layer Quick select properties: 20 pixels Hardness 88
Notes: Use “[“ to reduce brush size while selecting, “]” to increase. For example, make smaller brush to get windshield bracket

Mask… White hides nothing, thus nothing is hidden/masked We will: Click white box (the mask) Choose black as foreground color (D) Choose a brush Paint We will actually use color black to paint over what we don’t want. Black hides Want to hide the trees Select brush tool Try size:25, Hardness 25% Be sure the Foreground color is Black
Mask… Click inside the white box, or else you will end up actually paining black Reset Mode to normal D key (default) “paint” what you want masked out...trees No need to select first Switch to white if you make a boo boo (reverse colors)
