Paper Engineering and Pop-ups 3D design with a 2D medium

Kinetic Energy & The Paper Engineer The force at the center of all pop-ups is Kinetic energy, or the energy that is the result of motion. Opening a page, pulling a tab, or turning a wheel A paper engineer is an artist who makes 2D paper 3D by cutting and folding.

Pop-up: dimensional and movable paper books or greeting cards http://raymarshall.com/2009/08/another-paper-blossoms-spread-takes-shape/img_2622/

Vocabulary Angle: the shape made by 2 straight lines meeting at a common point, or two planes meeting along an edge Acute Angle: an angle that is less than 90 degrees Base page: the paper to which the pop-up is attached Cam: a moving piece that gives an off-center rotation to another piece.

Now you have tried 27 pop-ups Combine at least 5 to create an original pop-up design.
