Training events calendar When, where, which is the organizing organization Possibility to insert the events into a database in order to filter and search by topic (place, topic, organizer…) The database of the calendar would be hosted on the EUMETSAT server. It would host the events of VLab, Eumetcal: EUMETSAT events represents only a subset Each partner would have its own calendar interface in its web-portal, with its own logo and setup (e.g. showing only own events, instruction language). Each calendar would point to the same database and search in it: not local but REMOTE. Each organization has a course creator (-> pending courses) --- above all creators an administrator who will check, confirm and publish the event The calendar will be complemented with a filter with all the entries (WMO Region, language, country, etc) A prototype running on a local server is already available Each event is characterized by several entries (*) Common template of the steps suggested when publishing the course in the calendar: addition in the calendar, links to material, insertion of the statistical report

Training events calendar Recommendations: To link the resources of ESRC to the training event Each course needs eventually a description (PDF file, link to the webpage) Also course already completed will be available (for statistics, retrieving material from ESRC, which is itself a link) T The calendar is a mean for advertizing a course. Reporting Template for satellite operating Agencies Recommendations Filling course report form every 6 months too tight (CMA huge amount of courses)-> every 12 months (Fan Hong) Engage the VLab members in assessing these solutions Drop down menu/yes-no check box instead of open field for answering the questions in the ”General Info for Satellite operators” section expecting a yes/no anwer Reporting in the future should be done by entries into a database (not current template by email) In case the satellite operator is also running a center of exellence how to make the report?
