Types of Leadership People-Oriented Task-Oriented A leader who pays careful attention to the human need for satisfying relationships, in the hope that a comfortable, friendly organization will achieve the best results Task-Oriented A leader who is primarily concerned with getting the job done in the most efficient manner, and will therefore arrange a working conditions to minimize interference by the human element
Types of Leadership Autocratic Leader makes decisions without reference to anyone else Staff have a high degree of dependency on the leader Leader can de-motivate and alienate staff May be valuable in some types of business where decisions need to be made quickly and decisively
