Americans Join Together pg 119 Americans Unite to celebrate the holidays, such as Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Memorial Day These holidays help Americans remember our history and where our country has come from, both good and bad Some holidays help us remember certain important people throughout our history, such as Martin Luther King, Jr. day and President’s Day September 11th is also a day that Americans remember because it is when a terrorist attack destroyed the World Trade Center and killed many innocent American citizens
