By Kayvon, Cade, and Andrew Jacques Cartier By Kayvon, Cade, and Andrew

Who and what country. He was born 1491 and died in 1557. He was born in St. Malo, France. He was a French explorer. He traveled on three voyages. He thought land was more valuable than gold.

Where he went and why He wanted to find a route through North America to Asia. He made it to St. Lawrence, Quebec. He claimed it for France. He once brought sixty-one people in two ships. One time he brought two Native American children back with him.

Pirates Booty Gold, horses, and fancy clothing is what pirates would want from the ship to keep or sell.

The Goods and the Bads He was successful when he found the St. Lawrence Gulf and brought colonists to the new world. He was unsuccessful when he didn’t find a path through North America.

Very Unique He found the St. Lawrence Gulf. Good thing he was successful!!! He also brought a lot of men to the new world.
